Women's Bible Study Opportunities
Currently there are three different avenues of Bible Study for women at LCIF:
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY meets every 2nd and 4th Monday at 7 P.M. in the home of one of the participants. The group selects a work of fiction or nonfiction to read and discuss. The emphasis is currently on novellas by Francine Rivers about biblical women who were in the lineage of Jesus. These are the stories of ordinary women trying to please God. Lessons from their lives become applications for our own today.
WELCA, Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 9 A.M. in the Conference Room at LCIF. The Bible Study is in the magazine LUTHERAN WOMAN TODAY. This year's theme is Blessed to Follow: The Beatitudes as a Compass for Discipleship.
CAFE is a free monthly on-line magazine for young women (but meaningful for women of all ages) offered by Women of the ELCA. Go to boldcafe.org to read, connect and grow. It is also available as a podcast.
